How is the fuel sensor installed?
- Drain fuel from tank
- Remove vapors from the fuel tank. This is to prevent fire and explosion during drilling. First of all, you need to dismantle the tank, rinse it several times with water, and then get rid of the vapors.
- Determine the geometric center of the tank
- Drill a hole carefully in the center to prevent chips from entering the tank
- Cut the measuring part of the fuel sensor, it should be slightly less than the height of the tank. Fuel must flow freely between the tubes.
- Calibrate
- Installing the fuel level sensor: there must be a measuring part inside the tank, and a board with a cable outside.
- Fix the sensor with self-tapping screws
- Connect the device to the car and computer using a special adapter. Install the fuel sensor configuration software on the PC.
- Calibrate
- Disconnect the fuel sensor from the computer and connect it to the GPS terminal
- Installation completed
